定义锁呐，由喇叭型碗、音管、哨子组合而成，碗铜制，音管木制，哨子苇制，吹哨发音，音色圆润、宏亮。敦煌莫高窟第83窟(西夏)上部自鸣乐中出现一件喇叭型乐器，其下部喇叭型特征十分明显，音管上细下粗，虽上部吹口处有些模糊，但总体形状似为锁呐。其周围有拍板等乐器相伴。

The Suona Horn is made of a brass trumpet, wood tube and reed whistle. It is a wind instrument that makes sounds by blowing the whistle. The sound is full and loud. The first section of frescoes of Cave No.83 has depicted this instrument. It is evident that this instrument is with a trumpet like subsection below and a corn shaped tube. Though the whistle part cannot be recognized clearly, but it generally can be figured out that it is a Suona Horn. There are other instruments like clappers around it.
